Mr Liau performed a distal pancreatectomy on me in October2016 to remove a cancerous tumour in the body of my pancreas. He also carried out a portal vein resection and removed 28 lymph nodes two of which were positive. I am fully aware that but for Mr Liau carrying out this surgery with all his expertise and experience I would not be here today and I owe my life to his skills. The aftercare provided by Mr Liau and his team both as an inpatient and now outpatient three years later has always been professional and of a high standard. The heartfelt thanks of myself and my family go out to especially to Mr Liau but also to his team for whom he must be a great inspiration. Please don’t hesitate to share this information.

I have known Mr Liau since 2014 when he diagnosed me and performed surgery (partial removal of Pancreas) in Jan 2015. He has always been incredibly respectful and kind and has spent time explaining everything that I have needed to know as well as answering any questions I had. I have never felt rushed when talking to him and most of all, he saved my life! His aftercare is brilliant.

Could not have wished for a more dedicated surgeon. He was friendly, informative and caring. To personally ring me up to tell me how my husband was after 11 hours surgery sums up what a great person he is.

Listens to patient with great care and attention. Full explanation of the treatment plan. Technically excellent surgeon who in my case performed a difficult operation with no resulting side effects. Excellent post op care and kept fully informed at all times. In particular he took the trouble to ring my wife after 10 hours in theatre, to tell her the outcome, for which she is incredibly grateful.
